For The Record Announces SOC 2 Type 1 Compliance, Signifying Longstanding Commitment to Justice Security
For The Record is proud to announce that we have received a clean SOC 2 Type 1 attestation report. This rigorous, independent assessment of our internal security controls serves as validation of our dedication and adherence to the highest standards for security and privacy, while supporting the requirement for transparency in court operations.
“This is an important milestone on our security journey, but it does not signify an end point,” said Senior Vice President–Product Development at For The Record, John Doyle.
“Our longstanding commitment to our court clients and the security of their data remains a core element of our business—one that we will continue to invest significantly in.”
Using Drata’s automated platform to continuously monitor our internal security controls against the highest possible standards, For The Record has real-time visibility across the organization to ensure the end-to-end security and compliance posture of our systems.
Conducted by AssuranceLab, a nationally recognized CPA firm registered with the Public Company Accounting Oversight Board, this attestation report affirms that For The Record’s information security practices, policies, procedures, and operations meet the rigorous SOC 2 Trust Service Criteria for security, confidentiality, availability, privacy, and processing integrity.
Developed by the Assurance Services Executive Committee (ASEC) of the Association of International Certified Professional Accountants (AICPA), SOC 2 is an extensive auditing procedure that ensures that a company is handling customer data securely and in a manner that protects the organization as well as the privacy of its customers. SOC 2 is specifically designed for service providers storing customer data in the cloud.
As more courts look to capture, store, manage, and process sensitive and confidential court records and other justice data with cloud-based services like FTR Justice Cloud, it’s critical that they do so in a way that ensures their data will remain safe, yet accessible and usable.
Our customers carry this responsibility every day, and it’s important that the vendors they select to process their data approach that responsibility in the same way. Security is crucial for a justice system operating within a digital world, and this attestation from Drata confirms For The Record is ready to address the challenges that digital world presents.
